This animation was created for Ceasefire.org to advocate for reparations for Ukrainians affected by war.
Alongside a producer I designed, sketched, illustrated and animated the piece in English before being provided a Ukrainian transcript to swap in.

I was originally approached with a single style frame, similar to this one to the right.
The idea came about to create a line animation that connected throughout the whole video.

After some references and discussion were shared, I created scamps (sketches) to plan out the animation.

After the scamps were approved I created the final versions in Illustrator.
I then put these in to an animatic, as shown on the right, to nail down timing and feel before the final animation.
The animation utilises the path follow nulls effect in After Effects to a degree which I haven't used, or even seen before.
This allows the elements in each scene to be created with a single line, but still animate separately.
